How this platform handles your data

The Platform is software built and operated by Industries Capital that provides persistent business memory, relationship intelligence, deal tracking, and decision support for relationship-driven businesses. This policy explains what data The Platform accesses, why it is accessed, how it is used and stored, and the choices users have regarding their data.

Gmail access

The Platform connects to a Gmail account through Google's OAuth authorization process and only after the account holder gives explicit consent. The Platform may read:

Email metadata, including sender, subject, date, and thread information, to identify messages relevant to business relationships, deals, opportunities, lenders, investors, and other user workflows.
Full message content and attachments when needed to provide Platform features, including preserving relevant business history and processing documents such as offering memoranda and financial statements.

The Platform requests read-only Gmail access. It does not use Gmail authorization to send email, modify existing messages, or delete messages from a connected inbox.

What's stored

Information obtained or derived from connected email accounts — along with contacts, deal records, documents, notes, decisions, and other information entered directly into The Platform — may be stored in a private database operated by Industries Capital. This supports The Platform's core function of maintaining a persistent, searchable record of a user's business relationships, activity, context, and decisions over time.

How data is used

Stored data may be used to:

Surface relevant history when reviewing a contact, deal, opportunity, or other business record.
Generate recommendations, summaries, classifications, and analysis, such as identifying a new deal signal or extracting information from a document.
Maintain an operating picture of what changed, what may need attention, and what remains outstanding.

Some content may be sent to third-party service providers, including AI model providers such as Anthropic, when necessary to provide analysis and extraction features. These providers process data on behalf of The Platform to provide the requested functionality. The Platform does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

Who has access

Access to user data is limited to the user, authorized Platform personnel when necessary to operate or support the service, and service providers used to provide Platform functionality. Google user data is not sold or made available to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Data retention and deletion

Business records, including information obtained or derived from Google services, may be retained as part of a user's institutional business record until deletion is requested or otherwise required by law. Disconnecting a Google account or revoking Google authorization stops future access to that Google account, but does not automatically delete information previously stored in The Platform.

Users may request review, correction, or deletion of their stored data, including Google-derived data, by contacting Industries Capital at thomas@industriescapital.com.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The Platform's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security

Access to The Platform requires authentication. Data is stored on infrastructure managed by or on behalf of Industries Capital and is not publicly browsable. The Platform uses access controls and other technical safeguards intended to protect stored information from unauthorized access.
